Plug-Ins
The new plug-in feature, allows customers to develop uniform Web applications that can be accessed from RedDot's SmartEdit™ editorial and SmartTree administration interfaces. Easily developed as a combination of the RedDot Query Language and your preferred programming language, plug-ins allow for development of add-on tools for RedDot CMS.

Server Clustering
With version 4.5, the RedDot CMS now supports the clustering of multiple RedDot Servers for optimization of user requests and processor load. This feature addresses RedDot's rapidly growing number of enterprise-level customers and their need for load balancing and dedicated server processes.

Media Catalog
The Media Catalog, sold as an add-on feature to the RedDot CMS, provides a Digital Asset Management system for administering the implementation of media files in RedDot projects. This add-on option is appropriate for RedDot CMS customers with large amounts of end-user placed images or rich media file types on their Web sites, Intranets, or Extranets. Authorized users can view images categorized by thumbnails, attributes and other file information, such as image size, upload date and author. JPG/GIF/BMP/PNG files product thumbnails automatically, while other file types assign pre-defined thumbnails.
