RedDot to Manage Content through the Deployment of FTA's New Web Site Which Will Boast Some 5,000 Web Pages

New York, NY - RedDot Solutions, (http://www.reddot.com/), a leading provider of enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, announced today that the Federal Transit Administration (www.fta.dot.gov), the federal agency that helps cities and communities nationwide provide mobility to their citizens, has selected the RedDot Enterprise Content Management Suite (ECMS). RedDot was chosen to eliminate the traditional bottleneck of posting information to the site and will also support the content management lifecycle through the deployment of FTA's new Web site comprising more than 5,000 Web pages.

FTA placed all content management responsibilities on the IT department, which created a flat process of publishing information online. They needed a system that would extend content ownership to other users across the organization. RedDot's SmartEdit™ interface is so simple to use. Because of RedDot, users across the organization will own their content ensuring that the information on our Web site is consistently accurate and current.
Federal agencies like the FTA are faced with the critical issue of delivering an ever-increasing amount of information to the public while satisfying their constituents growing expectations for online services at the same time. RedDot's ECMS is both simple to implement and use and creates an efficient environment to manage information online, regardless of content type. RedDot was also selected because it will largely eliminate the technical bottleneck of a traditional webmaster.

"Federal agencies of all sizes, face unique issues within their online environment but share the same necessity of having to produce and post information to their Web sites in a timely manner," said Detlef Kamps, president of RedDot Solutions. "Through a combination of scalability, authority distribution and workflow procedures, RedDot will provide the FTA with the necessary elements to manage and maintain their information-rich Web site, regardless of how many pages. I am confident that RedDot will enable the FTA to consistently extend their quality service and information to the cities and communities they serve."
