RedDot Achieves SAP® Integration Certification for RedDot Personalization iView

Provides Seamless Integration of RedDot Content Personalization Server (CPS) With SAP NetWeaver ®

New York, NY - RedDot Solutions, (http://www.reddot.com/), a leading provider of enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, announced today that its RedDot Personalization iView 4.5 has received SAP certification for its integration with SAP® Enterprise Portal 5.0. RedDot Personalization iView seamlessly integrates RedDot Content Personalization Server (CPS) with the SAP NetWeaver® integration and application platform, making it possible to deliver personalized information to every single user within a portal environment.

"Ease of maintenance and user-specific delivery of information are top priorities in any portal environment," said Detlef Kamps, president of RedDot Solutions. "In addition to data from backend systems, such as CRM and SCM systems, portals must also integrate and personalize content. RedDot's portal content not only delivers accurate and relevant information but also a technically verified iView for SAP Enterprise Portal, resulting in a valuable Web experience for users of SAP solutions."

Content is generally created and maintained using a content management system (CMS). In contrast, personalization is a much greater challenge, and requires a great deal of development effort in many portals. The RedDot Personalization iView for SAP Enterprise Portal solves this dilemma. The RedDot CPS is deployed to manage content, which is saved in HTML or XML format, along with the corresponding authorization and interest profiles. Personalization is realized either explicitly, by creating a profile in RedDot CPS, or implicitly by analyzing the user's behavior patterns. User data can also be transferred from an existing LDAP system in order to support centralized maintenance.

When the RedDot CPS is integrated with the SAP NetWeaver platform, portal users have a single point of entry for content - one which takes the respective user profiles into account. In the process, the CPS both verifies user authorizations and respects the users' interests and information requirements. The result: every employee is given the precise information she or he needs to do the job, which not only makes the portal more valuable, but also improves staff motivation.
