Lamar University Selects RedDot's Content Management System

New York, NY - RedDot Solutions, (http://www.reddot.com/), a leading provider of enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, announced today that Lamar University, a member of the Texas State University System with 10,384 students in Beaumont, Texas, has selected RedDot to streamline content management for the University's Web site. RedDot was selected for its ease of use and comprehensive workflow capabilities.
"With more than 10,000 pages, Lamar University's Web site has always been managed on a decentralized model," said Brian Sattler, director of public relations and marketing at Lamar University. "The biggest challenge for Lamar's departments and colleges has been finding and retaining Web-savvy people to design and maintain our sites."
For many users the inability to manage their own content has resulted in aged materials, broken links, inconsistent design and poor maintenance creating many areas that have gone without adequate support for long periods of time, Sattler said.
