Leading Research Firm Cites RedDot Solutions as a Strong Performer
29 Aug 2005
New York, NY - RedDot Solutions, a leading global provider of enterprise content management (ECM) solutions for midmarket organizations, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hummingbird Ltd. (NASDAQ: HUMC, TSX: HUM), today announced it was named a "Strong Performer" in the August 26, 2005 Forrester Wave report, "Web Content Management For Retail, Q3 2005."
Forrester Research evaluated RedDot's CMS 6.0 Web Content Management Software, and LiveServer™ 2.2, personalization and application integration solution. According to the report, "Most of the retailers we spoke with for this report cited business-user control as the greatest asset of their WCM system." Forrester cites RedDot's CMS as "easy-to-use WCM" for content contributors. Additionally, in Forrester's April 2005 Web Content Management Scorecard Summary: RedDot, Forrester found that "RedDot's core strength lies in ease of use for contributors and business users."
The report also states, "WCM solutions with dynamic content delivery support put these tools directly into the hands of marketers and merchandisers to make changes to the site without having to go through the IT black box. This facilitates more timely reactions and ensures that business-user objectives don't get lost in translation." Forrester found that RedDot's "LiveServer handles delivery of personalized content and is ideal for content-centric sites."
The report assesses the state of the Web content management (WCM) market's approach to the retail industry and compares the strengths and weaknesses of RedDot Solutions with other top WCM vendors across 200 criteria.
"Midmarket organizations are quickly recognizing the value of their business content and want to equip their marketers with the right tools to deliver personalized, relevant content," said Detlef Kamps, president of RedDot Solutions North America. "RedDot is honored that Forrester has recognized one of our newest products, LiveServer, for the value it brings to our clients."
