Not-for-Profit Uses RedDot's Content Management Solution to Automate Web Site Administration

New York - RedDot Solutions, a leading global provider of enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, today announced that United Way of Greater Toronto has selected RedDot's content management software (CMS) to automate and centralize Web site administration processes. United Way of Greater Toronto chose RedDot because the organization needed scalability across multiple Web properties, an easily managed workflow, and a solution that is easy-to-use.
United Way of Greater Toronto regularly publishes details of the campaigns and programs offered on the Web site www.unitedwaytoronto.com. Prior to selecting RedDot CMS, the organization found that manually managing Web content created too many internal system administration burdens for marketing and IT teams. RedDot CMS provides United Way of Greater Toronto a centralized solution to manage its Web content and streamline internal Web business processes. The organization also found that RedDot CMS is so easy-to-use that many staff members feel empowered to participate in building their site and keeping it up-to-date.

"As a local United Way and part of a global not-for-profit organization in a multilingual environment, we face many unique Web publishing requirements, but have limited IT resources," said David Cook, Vice President, Information Services & e-Business of United Way of Greater Toronto. "RedDot CMS is the only Web content management solution that our staff could use with minimal training and technical knowledge, but that is also powerful and scalable enough to centralize the administration of different Web assets."

To easily integrate with Web sites of other Canadian United Ways, to support national campaigns in regions that primarily speak French, and to provide content aimed at particular ethnic communities, United Way of Greater Toronto needed a Web content management solution that provides multi-language support capabilities. RedDot's Translation Editor module allows the organization to add multilingual content to its Web site and translate the content from French to English.

"RedDot is committed to delivering an easy-to-use enterprise content management solution that is both affordable and scalable for the midmarket," said Detlef Kamps, president of RedDot Solutions. "By enabling a fast publishing cycle with an integrated and intuitive tool, RedDot helps organizations to quickly create, edit and update Web content, and manage the business processes to support their organizational goals."
